Headed to Whidbey Island this Winter Solstice
where snow and the shortest day greet us
with the warm promise of life to be born
In the darkest regions of our hearts

Headed to Whidbey Island this Winter Solstice
where snow and the shortest day greet us
with the warm promise of life to be born
In the darkest regions of our hearts

We have as of old a choice this Christmas
For the hope and joy a child’s birth brings
We can gather with others and sing!

Did a little birthday home concert yesterday
with my new friend and bassist, Gary Streeter
We were Strong n Song inviting others to sing along
Birthday greetings were much appreciated
Touched by each and every one
Life’s a gift. Thanks for helping me sing about it!

Born!
What a gift to be born!
To be here today,
batch of clay,
breath,
song,
and
dance,
knowing
whence I came,
where I belong,
life’s wholeness in a glance!

‘Tis the season
to watch
and eagerly await
The benevolence of
The Universe
and her loving embrace

ADVENT
There is a sacred longing
for light and love
in the depths of short days and long nights
In this season we are readied,
made able to bear
the dawn of new life

A small thing, really
placing some festive color with evergreens
in a flower bed on the roadway into Hammond
But what joy and beauty are found
in the simplest of things
that the season of Christmas brings!

Oh, sweet child—each and every one
So quick to learn the ways of want & plenty
May you know how precious you already are—
And by Love’s encouragement always will be!

In our sweet little house on Whidbey Island
I pause to ponder the joy and bright sadness
of this holiday season
Old & new memories woven into one precious life
loved ones near and far together
in person, online, and forever in Spirit
In this season of waiting & preparation I am called
to the soul’s work of ultimate things,
open to the coming of Life now and on the horizon

A shout out to all anam cara— THANK YOU!
What a blessing to have soul friends who offer
spiritual care & guidance for the journey
